Job Title: Marketing Event Coordinator
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Grade: 16
Reports to: VP of Sales and marketing
Job Level: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

Lead annual large scale, event-based marketing promotions, including, but not limited to:
  • Burning River Fest, Rock the Block/Great Beer Chase, Holiday Hop, Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout Release, and milestone anniversaries
  • Collaborate, develop, and execute themes, scopes, and visions for existing and future events and promotions through comprehensive marketing plans, experiments, feedback, and debriefs
  • Collaborate with Community Marketing Supervisor on budgets, expense priorities, and total spends
  • Act as marketing lead on local, large scale, sales-driven community sponsorships and partnerships, including, but not limited to:
    • Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon and Cleveland Beer Week
  • Spearhead plans and align support for promotional materials, collateral, sponsorship packets, merchandise, and signage, including
    • Media partnerships and contracts (paid, earned, owned)
  • Press coverage before and during events
  • Digital and social media strategy
  • Photo/video production
  • Event promotion at retail
  • Attendee engagement
  • Merchandise production
  • Develop and execute fundraising plans to meet established budgets and planned priorities when necessary
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or public relations field required
Work Experience
  • Minimum of one-two years professional experience in related field preferred
Required Qualifications
•    Must be able to work independently and execute planned priorities with little upfront direction
•    Must be able to integrate scope of event with other established Company priorities
•    Solid written communication skills, particularly grammar, copywriting, and proofreading
•    Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to give and accept honest and direct feedback
•    A creative and original thinker who can apply knowledge across a range of systems
•    Proven media and public relations/public speaking experience
•    Must be computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office programs and solid knowledge of marketing concepts and tools
•    Ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure in fast pace environment
•    Ability to learn and create new systems and procedures
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
•    Must be organized and detail oriented
•    Must display a positive and professional manner at all times
•    Must have reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License with a driving record considered acceptable based on company’s insurance matrix
•    Flexible scheduling is essential, including hours during nights and weekends
•    Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
