Position: Private Events Coordinator
Location: Cleveland, OH
Status: Intermediate (non-supervisory); non-exempt
Department: Retail Operations
Direct Reports: Events Staff (servers/bartenders)
Reports to: Events Manager
Level: Entry level (non-supervisory); exempt


Banquets & Events
•    Works with Private Events Manager on various aspects of event planning and execution
•    Serves as liaison for external event vendors for assigned bookings
•    Assists in creating, updating and publishing banquet event order forms
•    Conducts targeted research to identify industry standards as well as competitor pricing and offerings
•    Fills in for Private Events Manager as needed
•    Ensures schedules, contracts, and payments for assigned private events are maintained
•    Collaborates with Campus Experience (CampX) team on planning and/or execution of campus public events
•    Maintains a responsible amount of product in Tasting Room and preforms weekly inventory
•    Ensures the sanitation, maintenance and organization of the banquet facilities
•    Oversees that all service standards are met during private events
•    Other duties and tasks as assigned

Training & Coaching
•    Assists in hiring, training, development and coaching of Private Event staff
•    Provides input for evaluations quarterly with Private Event staff
Reporting & Controls
•    Assists in accurately completing paperwork and necessary documentation for accounting at the conclusion of each event
•    Updates Events Sales spreadsheet

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in restaurant/hospitality industry or event management required

Work Experience
•    Minimum of three years professional experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry
•    Prior supervisory experience preferred

•    Ability to lead a team
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
•    Dedication to ensuring excellent service and to seeing issues through to resolution
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
•    Mobility during the entire shift and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
