Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Duties
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead all aspects of long-term strategic planning and direct day-to-day execution of annual operating plans and company goals. Working closely with the Co-Owners and/or Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for all business functions and leads the respective department managers: Finance/Accounting, Production, Brewing/QC, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources.

Strategy Development and Execution
•    Work closely with the Co-Owners, Board of Directors and/or Senior Leadership Team to lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of company short and long-team strategies and objectives – including key expansion and growth initiatives
•    Develop and implement comprehensive business objectives according to the company mission and values
•    Provide strategic input and leadership for effective decision-making regarding issues affecting the organization
•    Support and drive the company’s stated values and Triple Bottom Line initiatives

Leadership and Staff Development
•    Hire, train, supervise, coach, develop and motivate direct reports, focusing on recruiting and retaining top performers across the organization
•    Communicate and implement the company’s vision, mission and overall direction while staying true to our company culture
•    Translate overall company strategy into individual/departmental goals and ensure that relevant key metrics are communicated to staff
•    Develop and implement strategies for effective collaboration and teamwork across departments and functional management teams

Business Operations Management

•    Collaborate with the leadership team on the planning and formulation of organization’s policies and practices
•    Responsible for managing and optimizing key business relationships, including banks, professionals, community leaders, vendors, and distributors
•    Ensure the company meets necessary regulatory and compliance requirements
•    Responsible for continual improvement of the budgeting and financial forecasting processes and primary oversight and management of capital expansion projects
•    Partner with and guide the production and brewing/QC teams in executing effectively against goals, and ensuring continuous improvement of processes and systems that create and deliver the company’s products and services
•    Partner with and guide the sales and marketing team in developing and implementing sales and pricing strategies to increase GLBC market share and with analyzing activity against goals (through the S&OP process)
•    Partner with and guide the human resources team with ensuring competitive total compensation and innovative recruiting and retention strategies, enhancing employee engagement and developing succession planning strategies to further our designation as a best workplace
•    Represent the company both in the local community and at various industry conferences and events to promote the company
•    Develop, implement, and manage brand strategies along with representing the brand in the market to enhance relationships and increase distribution
•    Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

Education
•    Master’s degree required, MBA preferred

Work Experience
•    15+ years’ of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
•    10+ years in multiple management & leadership roles with demonstrated progressive increase in responsibilities
•    Brewing industry experience preferred

Required Qualifications
•    Proven experience with strategic planning and execution and ability to implement a long-term vision and plan
•    Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members
•    Detail oriented, creative, and highly organized self-starter with a demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment
•    Proven decision making and analytical skills along with strong financial acumen
•    Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills; experience in organizing and presenting complex information
•    Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment which is heavily integrated with other functional departments (Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.)
•    Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
•    Willingness to work flexible and extended hours as required including some travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications
•    Prior experience in the manufacturing and/or brewing industry
•    Knowledge of sustainability practices
•    Understands and intuitively models an Appreciative Inquiry approach
•    Passion for the craft beer industry
